Founded in 2012 by Laura Clayton, Soul Sanctuary
has evolved from an award-winning yoga studio in the Midlands into a leading yoga teacher training school. After over a decade of running successful studios and teaching thousands of students, Laura shifted the focus of Soul Sanctuary towards training the next generation of yoga teachers.
Today, Soul Sanctuary offers internationally recognised online and in-person 200 Hour and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, blending traditional yoga practices with psychology, nervous system education, mindfulness, and personal development. Our trainings are designed not only to qualify students to teach yoga worldwide, but also to help them build confidence, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to themselves.
Having graduated over 600 teachers worldwide and delivered more than 10,000 hours of training, Soul Sanctuary is becoming a go-to school for those seeking a modern, down-to-earth, and transformational approach to yoga teacher training.
Alongside our foundational 200 Hour programmes, we also offer advanced 300 Hour trainings, allowing teachers to specialise in areas such as somatic yoga, trauma-informed yoga, yoga philosophy, advanced asana, yin yoga, yoga nidra, astrology and yoga, assisting, yoga for the nervous system and much more.
Whether you want to teach professionally or simply deepen your understanding of yoga and yourself, Soul Sanctuary offers a supportive and transformational path to help you grow.
Having owned several yoga studios for over 15 years, Laura now focuses her time on leading her Yoga Teacher Training programmes, both in person and online, throughout the year.
Fascinated by psychology and the powerful connection between the mind and body, Laura is passionate about educating as many people as possible about how our thoughts, emotions, and nervous system impact our physical health and overall wellbeing. She shares this through all aspects of yoga, alongside her wider studies in psychology, counselling, and trauma-informed coaching.
Alongside her teacher trainings, Laura also works as a 1:1 wellness coach and Corporate Wellness Consultant, delivering wellbeing programmes for a range of clients including Shell, EDF, Bosch, Hermes, HSBC, and Deloitte, helping individuals and organisations create healthier, more sustainable ways of living and working.
Laura is also co-host of the successful podcast The North Node – The Yoga & Astrology Podcast, where she explores themes including yoga philosophy, psychology, astrology, nervous system health, purpose, and personal growth.
